A series revolving around the lives of four women
The Golden Girls series on DVD made its debut as a popular NBC sitcom in the fall of 1985 and soon grew into a permanent fixture of Saturday night prime time television. The show revolves around the lives of four women living in a house in Miami and is a great blend of wit, humor and sarcasm.
Blanche Devereaux (Rue McClanahan) is the Southern woman and owner of the house who loves sex and has dated all the eligible bachelors of Miami. Her roommates are the retired high school teacher, Dorothy Zbornak (Bea Arthur) and housewife and widower Rose Nylund (Betty White) who loves telling stories of her hometown.
The fourth golden girl is Dorothy Zbornak's mother, Sophia Petrillo, who is a spunky Italian who just loves speaking her mind. It was the burning down of her retirement home that made her turn to her daughter's house for accommodation purposes.
You never get bored with Golden Girls
